He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Hackney and Edith Milhorn Hackney; his siblings, Joyce Walker, Doris Shell, Marie Dugger, Mamie Stanton, Louise Buckles, Brady Bumgardner, T. G. Hackney, Bill Hackney, Wilbert Hackney and Byrom Hackney; and his son-in-law Keith Mullen.
He is survived by: his wife Alma Warren Hackney; his children, Teresa Mullen and Steven Hackney (Rita); and his grandson Noah Mullen. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
