He was predeceased by: his parents, Stacey Proffitt and Emma Pearl South Proffitt; his former wife Mary Jeanette Brown Proffitt; his son Stephen Proffitt; and his siblings, Emma Jean, Pauline, Ruby, Ann, Mary Ruth, Claude, Bill, Lloyd and Monroe.
He is survived by: his wife Robin Levick Proffitt; his daughter Debbie Roberts; his grandson Kyle Roberts; his brother Clifton "Tip" Proffitt; his stepdaughters, Shannan (Rick) and Jamie (Sheriff Stacy Ball); his stepgrandchildren, Brian (Tylenia), Devon, Aiden, Lincoln, Kylie, Logan and Rayne; his stepgreat-grandchild Kobe; his brothers-in-law, Dennis Levick (Tracie) and Mischa Vytacil (Kerrie); his close friends, Tracy, Mary Arnold, Norma Roark, Grace Levick, Kenny Gregg and Jim Kelly; his pets, Muffin and Coco; and his caregivers, Savannah, Laura and Lori. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
