He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred R. Dowell and Nannie Simcox Dowell. He is survived by: his wife Frances Dowell; his son Stacy Dowell (Cassandra); his siblings, Wilma Payne, Marjorie Farmer and Russell Dowell; and his granddaughter Faith Dowell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
