He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman Dowell and Lizzie Potter Dowell. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Marie Dowell; his son Jeff Dowell (Amy); his grandsons, Dakota Dowell (Izzy) and Austin Dowell; his brother Bill Dowell; and his sisters-in-law, Barbara Halstead, Joan Park and Jean Lester. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.
