He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Heerschap and Edith Heerschap; his wife Judith Mildred; his brothers, Kenneth Robert and Alan Scott; and his grandchildren, Christopher James Heerschap and Tessa Tymothi Montague.
He is survived by: his children, Yvonne Caruso (Joseph) of Davenport, FL and Mark Heerschap (Sharon) of Summerville, SC; his grandchildren, John Robert, Emily Mae and Gabriel Michael Heerschap; his great grandchild Jackson Brian Heerschap; and his siblings, Martin Heerschap (Candy), Leslie Owen (Harold), Dawn Hughes (Roger), Gwen Berger (Joel) and Heidi Kopitar. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
