She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Armstrong and Ebbie Armstrong (Reed); her husband Henry Clay Armstrong, Sr.; her sons, Henry Clay Amis, Jr. and John Amis; and her grandson Michael H. Amis.
She is survived by: her son Joe Sherrill Amis (Linda); her grandchildren, Robin, Christy, Tabby, LeAnn, Kelly, Kathy, Shelly, Jodie, Joyie and Chelsea; and her brothers, Wayne Armstrong and Bob Armstrong. She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Johnson - Arrowood Funeral Home Chapel Church. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Mountain Home National Cemetery in Mountain Home (215 Heros Drive, Mountain Home, Tennessee).
