She was predeceased by: her parents, Claudie Ann Hayes and James Connie Gibson; her husband Willie Lee Harkness (Bill); her children, Sarah Ann, James William, David Ray and Donald Lee; and her brothers, Basil Elmo Gibson, Franklin D. Roosevelt "Roise" Gibson and James "Dinky" Gibson.
She is survived by: her son Tommy Ray Barnes; her sister Thelma Louise Barnes; and her grandchildren, Tommie Leann Barnes, Willie Barnes and Brittany Graut. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
