He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Klar Sr. and Ruth Josephine Ahrens; and his wife Deborah "Debbie" Abdon. He is survived by: his stepdaughters, Angie Abdon Williams and Erica Abdon Harrison; and his grandchildren, Kaitie Holley, Callum, Theodore, Emily Horsfall, Evan, Mallory Williams, Lillian, Evelyn, Elliott and Marian Harrison.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Murfreesboro Funeral Home (145 Innsbrooke Blvd, Murfreesboro, TN 37128). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Middle Tn State Veterans Cemetery (7931 McCrory Ln, Nashville, TN 37221).
