He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Roosevelt and Jeanne Pardue Dotson; and his brother Guy Roosevelt Dotson, Jr.. He is survived by: his daughter Cecilia Jean Dotson; his siblings, Bethe Becker (Frank), Von Dotson (Jana) and Greg Dotson; his friend Jory Savage; and his nephews, Brent Dotson, Kyle Dotson, Trey Dotson, Hank Becker, Chris Weber and Luke Rainey. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the New Vision Baptist Church (1750 N Thompson Ln, Murfreesboro, TN 37129). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
