We announce the death of Betty Ruth Walls Davis of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, who passed away on October 21, 2026, at the age of 90. Betty will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Betty will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Betty will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Betty’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hencil Walls, Sr. and Bessie Mae Dickson Walls; her husband James H. Davis; and her siblings, Elmer Walls, Hencil Walls, Jr., Dean Benson and Marie Comer.
She is survived by: her daughter Amanda Colston (Darwin) of Murfreesboro, TN; and her granddaughter Emma Colston of Murfreesboro, TN. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Woodfin Memorial Chapel (1488 Lascassas Pike, Murfreesboro, TN 37130). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Mrs. Davis.
