He was predeceased by: his parents, Malcomb Keener and Mary Keener; and his brothers, Wilbur and Raymond Keener. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Ballew Keener of Murfreesboro, TN; his son Chuck; his daughter-in-law Shay Keener; his siblings, Neil Keener of Chatsworth and Jane; his brother-in-law Bill Jones of Blue Ridge, GA; his grandchildren, Cassius Keener, Keisha, Jim English, Kolby, Blake Hammontree, Kelcey and Devin Slayton; and his great grandchildren, Huntley Hammontree, Cloe and Charley Slayton.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Peeples Funeral Home (208 S 3rd Ave, Chatsworth, GA 30705). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
