He was predeceased by: his former wife Lavada Lewis; his wife Lois Lewis; his sons, Barry Lewis, Ken Lewis and Keith Lewis; his parents, Olie Lewis and Iola Lewis; and his siblings, Elise Bates, Olene Womack and Lynn Lewis.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sheila Pennington (George), Angie Dean (Chris) and Joan Rodgers (Richard); and his daughter-in-law Sheila Kaye Lewis (Drew). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
