He is also survived by eight grandchildren.

“I’m a high school friend and had not seen Clevie in a long time. As teenagers he represented the best of us with his smile and kindness to anyone he met. He was a friend to everyone and always the perfect gentleman. Just knowing Clevie is not on this earth anymore is so sad. It’s comforting to know he’s with his parents, who loved him so much and he loved them. I say to his sons and grandchildren, you’ve had a dad to be so proud of, He will always have a place in my heart.”
