He was predeceased by : his wife Wanda Cook Leverette; his parents, Stanley C. Leverette and Pauline Heath Leverette; his stepmother Bessie Mullins Leverette; and his son-in-law Rick Taylor.

He is survived by : his children, Ronald Leverette (Eunice), Brian Leverette (Connie), Michael Leverette (Caroline) and Renee Leverette; his grandchildren, Aimee Leverette (Josh Green), Jason Leverette, Alex Leverette and James Leverette (Alexis); his stepgrandchildren, Tina Williams, Rachael Ross, Lauren Young, Ricky Taylor, Jr. (Katherine) and Michael Taylor; his great grandchild Ethan Taylor; and his brother Paul Leverette (Yvonne).
