He is survived by: his children, David Matthews (Dana) of Edwardsburg, Heather Simpson (Bobby) of Mishawaka and Kenneth Matthews of Woodbury, TN; his grandchildren, Cecilia, Julia and Zachary Matthews; and his sisters, Carmen "Trinket" Smith (Jim), Cindy Seitenstich (Phillip) and Sharon Matthews. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
