It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dax Mathew Van Ekelenburg of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, born in Lincoln, Nebraska, who passed away on April 24, 2025, at the age of 21, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Matthew Motis of Lake Wales, FL, Debra Rosiu of Rockvale, TN, Bill Makelin of Lincoln, NE and John Van Ekelenburg of Lincoln, NE.. He is survived by: his parents, Christa Van Ekelenburg of Lincoln, NE and Daniel Van Ekelenburge of Rockvale, TN; his brother Tristan Van Ekelenburg (Jayna) of Murfreesboro; his nephew Lucas; his niece Alina; and his grandmothers, Linda Casey (Tom) of Lincoln, NE and Rhonda Motis of Glasco, KS.. He is also survived by Many other aunts, uncles, cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Murfreesboro Funeral Home (145 Innsbrooke Blvd, Murfreesboro, TN 37128). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 2:45 PM to 3:30 PM at the Miller Cemetery.
