He is survived by: his children, Joseph Leland Norris (Doreen), Dr. Mike Norris (Mila), John Timothy Norris (Kathy), Angela Arlene Barnes and Amy Darleen Herdman (John); his grandchildren, Brian Joseph Norris, Joel Hampton Norris (Lauren), Jessica Leigh Elliott (Ryan), Jacylyn Renee Miller, Collin Michael Barnes (Abby), Brook Nicole Royalty (Matthew), Jared Michael Herdman (Jodie), Madeline Grace Herdman and Allison Faith Herdman; and his sister Lou Ann Halstead. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Franklin Road Baptist Church (3148 Franklin Rd, Murfreesboro, TN 37128). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
