Della Mae Murphy Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Della Mae Murphy of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, who passed away on April 23, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid Della farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Della is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Whitt and Lizzie Whitt; her husband Kermit Murphy Jr.; her son Marvin Murphy; her siblings, Leona Prater (Ransom), Mary Ann Moore (Bill) and Eddie Whitt; and her grandson Billy David Slone.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Slone (Dave) of Murfreesboro, TN and Kermit Murphy (Nellie) of Rawl; her sister Phyllis Horn of Oakwood, VA.; and her nephew Ransom Jr. Prater (Anita) of Phelps, KY.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
