With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy E. Schaeffer of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, who passed away on August 14, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Powers and Bessie Bollock Powers; her husband Harold Schaeffer; her daughters, Rhonda Schaeffer and Barbara Hicklin; her siblings, Clyde Powers, Clifford Powers and Lavonne Dryden; and her son-in-law Homer Wesley Hicklin.
She is survived by: her daughter Sherry Cates (Mel); her grandchildren, Emily Ray (Jamie) and Nathan Hicklin (Lindsey); her great grandchild Alexander Ray; and her grandchildren, Nolan Ray, Anna Claire Hicklin and William Hicklin.
