It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Trent Chaney (Murfreesboro, Tennessee), born in Rutherford, Tennessee, who passed away on April 30, 2022, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Jimmy Lee Chaney; his siblings, Kyil Binyamin and Vanessa Knox; his aunt Emojene Sneed; and his uncles, Lee, Walter, Aaron, Earl Jr. and Cecil McCroskey.

He is survived by: his mother Mary Patricia Chaney; his wife Gwendolyn LaRue Chaney; his children, Darryl Chaney (Kendra), Cedric T. Chaney (Clarvetta), Torrance Peebles (Candi) and Trenekka Chaney; his grandchildren, Sharanese, Kentoria, Cedric L., Trentavious, DaVonte, Kelsey, Donovan, Jayden and Briel; his great grandchildren, Kenzeli, Aviyana, Ariana, DaVonte Jr., Trentavious Jr. and Jaxson; his aunts and uncles, Loretta McCroskey, Helen Johnson (Roger), Allen McCroskey (Linda), David McCroskey and Alice Frazier; his great-aunt Thelma M. Marshall; his siblings-in-law, Shirley Young and Danny Howse (Janet); and his cousin Earl McCroskey, III. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins.
