He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas R. Hill and Kathleen Charlton Hill; and his siblings, Thomas Hill, Mary Latane, Margaret Latane, Kathleen "Tina" Montgomery and John Hill.
He is survived by: his wife Lorene Craddock Hill; his daughter Elise Simmons (Jason); and his grandchildren, Carrie Simmons and John Thomas Simmons. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
