He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Jeffrey Barton and Florence May Day Barton; his son Adam Barton; and his sister Joyce Barton Bucknell. He is survived by: his wife Jane Barton; his children, Gary Barton (Christy) of Murfreesboro, Heather Ross (Byron) of Franklin and Andrea Lane (Brian) of Lexington, KY; his grandchildren, Hughes Barton of Murfreesboro, Sarah Jane Barton of Murfreesboro, Thomas Farmer (Raylin) of Franklin, Adeline Farmer of Franklin, Lydia Black (Grant) of Lexington, Harrison of Lexington, KY and Henry Lane of Lexington, KY; his great grandchildren, Hudson and Cannon; his sister Carol Morin (Jerry Walker) of Standish, ME; and his pet Lucy.
