He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom H. Barrett and Edna Volene McPeak Barrett; and his son Edwin Scott Barrett. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Leahew Barrett; his daughters, Jennifer Hopkins and Rebekah Dickerson (Brady); his grandchildren, Whitney Boyce (Adam), Kaitlyn Lang (Augie), Nicholas Barrett, Allie Leonard (Cody), Anslie Hopkins, Finely Dickerson and Sawyer Dickerson; his great grandchildren, Piper and Barrett Lang; his grandchild Ridge Oliver Leonard; and his siblings, Peggy Leahew and Darrel Whaley.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Woodfin Memorial Chapel (1488 Lascassas Pike, Murfreesboro, TN 37130). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens (5350 NW Broad St, Murfreesboro, TN 37129).
