He was predeceased by: his parents, Clair Peterson and Muriel Peterson (Brown); his wives, Mary "Faye" Vincent Peterson and Esther Haggerty Peterson; and his siblings, Clair Jr., Joyce Nichols, Clayton, Richard, Donald, Raymond, Terry, Charles and Patricia.
He is survived by: his children, Jacklyn Robbins (Harry) of Boonsboro, MD, Andrea J. Bly of Murfreesboro, TN and Vincent Peterson (Melanie) of Hancock, MD.; his grandchildren, Amy Thomas (Alex) of Mt. Airy, MD, Nathanial Robbins (Angela) of Hagerstown, MD, Audrea M. Bly of Murfreesboro, TN, Travis Bly of Nashville, TN and Austin Peterson of Hancock, MD.; and his sister Ellen Peterson Depew of South Waverly, PA. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, stepchildren, and grandchildren.
