He was predeceased by: his sister Pat Holland. He is survived by: his wife Judy Chaffin Adkins; and his children, Pam Howes, Jim Adkins, Jr. (Chandra), John Adkins (Dana) and Chris "Toby" Adkins (Susan). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
