He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Burkhalter and Juanita Davis Burkhalter. He is survived by: his wife Ann B. Burkhalter; his sons, James E Heintz (Gina) of Unionville, TN and Jared D. Heintz (Jade) of Charlotte, NC; and his siblings, Ted Burkhalter of Nashville, TN, Terry Burkhalter (Connie) of Knoxville, TN, Ron Burkhalter of Statesboro, GA and Susan Scheuer of Peachtree City, GA.. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
