He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Layhew and Beulah Layhew; and his siblings, Eugene Layhew, Rebecca Jones, Shirley Faulkner, Margaret Hulsey and Maybelle Browers.
He is survived by: his wife Janet; his children, Shannon Layhew (Dollye), Lisa Adams (Tim) and Jason Layhew; his grandchildren, Kelsey, Misty, Brooke, Hunter, Jamie, Jordan, Tristen, Zach, Jake, Luke and Blaine; and his great grandchildren, Sophia, Neveah, Tatum, Willow and Lillie.
