James Rogers Obituary

James Ray Rogers, 54, of Murfreesboro passed on October 29th, 2023.

He was born in Kingsville, Texas on August 19th, 1969, to Roy Rogers and Bettye Wright. From 1970, James grew up in Murfreesboro, Tennessee and resided in Rutherford County. He attended Oakland High School, where he graduated in 1987. James continued his education where he earned his trade of a journeymen electrician.

Passionate about music, James loved playing his guitar and listening to classic rock. When he was not playing the guitar, you could find him humming his favorite tune on the riverbank fishing.

James was preceded by death by grandparents, Ordie and Elva Rogers and J.T. Burrage and Dovie Panell and survived by parents Roy (Dottie) Rogers, Bettye (Joe) Wright, siblings Mike Rogers, Lisa (Branson) Martin, Jennie Martin and Maxwell Martin. Also was loved by his three nieces and one nephew, and two great-nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 5th from 2pm – 4pm at Smith Family Funeral and Cremation in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
