He is survived by: his wife Carol Ann Thompson of Murfreesboro, TN; his children, Brian VanOrsdel (Jessie McMillin) of Naperville, IL and Julie VanOrsdel Daves of Niwot, CO; his granddaughters, Emma Daves of London, ON, Claire Daves of Apex, NC and Abby Daves of Boulder, CO; his sister Janet Davis (Bob); his sister-in-law Jane Hewes (Jack); and his caregiver Angela Marable.
A devoted husband, he was Carol's tireless caregiver – day and night - after she suffered a spinal cord injury in the years before COVID.
