“Jason, I always wanted an older brother. You were exactly that (I know Jason from social media). I miss you my dear friend and I always will. You always stood by everyone you cared about. You checked up on them to make sure they werent hurting and that were doing ok. You spread laughter. A true angel. I know your with God and the angels. Your still watching over all those you love. My deepest condolences to everyone of your family and friends. May God provide comfort during this painful time.”

“Feels so unreal to be writing this for Jason was the life center of the small group of us whom he gathered on social media to share so much joy, laughter, fun & his love of life. May he rest in eternal peace and his memory be a blessing to his friends and family.”

“I only knew Jason through social media and the love of his life Maria, but he brought so much love and laughter through his incredible sense of humor. It was easy to see that Jason was a good and caring man. I consider myself lucky to have known him from a distance. I pray for Maria, and his friends and family!”

Andrew H VanHook wrote a sympathy message

“Met Jason when I was a freshman at DCA. I brought a wrestling magazine in study hall and we became friends. Because of him and his dad, I got to go to so many auburn games and even went to the rose bowl. Jason fought hard for 20 plus years but he never complained, he took it in stride, unless he couldn't get a Dr Pepper. Always had a good time whether we were hanging out, going on trips, causing trouble downtown, and movie night. Over 25 yrs of friendship is hard to sum up in a few sentences.”
