He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Fuller Cates and Nila Byrd Cates. He is survived by: his daughters, Lori Thomas (Morton) and Janie Oliver (Bill); and his grandchildren, Brayden Galloway Thomas and Kristen Taylor Thomas.
