It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Lee Benson of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, who passed away on July 15, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jerry Lee Benson to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis "Doc" Benson and Abbie Benson; and his siblings, Jimmy Benson (Juanita) and Judy Cooper. He is survived by: his wife Janice Benson; his children, Diana Benson Bateman (Lee), Christian Benson, Joanna Jones (Jeremy) and Andrea Brewer (Drew); his grandchildren, Hailey (Marco), Madison, Grace, Thomas, James, Brady, Isabelle and Maya; his great grandchildren, Meredith, Ava and Marco Antonio III; his brothers-in-law, Bob Cooper and Jackson Christian (Mary Jo); and his pets, Jake and Tink. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Woodfin Funeral Chapel - Murfreesboro (1488 Lascassas Pike, Murfreesboro, TN 37130). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens (5350 NW Broad St, Murfreesboro, TN 37129).
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Bethlehem Church of Christ or Alive Hospice of Murfreesboro.
