He is survived by: his wife Phyllis (Huff); his children, Jennifer Farlow (Jeff) and Kirk Catron (Carrie Beth); his grandchildren, Blaine of Murfreesboro, Charleigh Ann of Murfreesboro and Carrigan of Murfreesboro; and his siblings, Ron McClughen (Sharon) of Fairfield Glade and Jane Rule (David) of Peoria, IL..
The family prefers a memorial donation to the St. Thomas Rutherford Foundation be made in lieu of flowers. Memorials may be made to the Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Foundation earmarked for John Catron to support Neurological services at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital.
