He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Pugh and Virginia Brewer Pugh Hollis; and his brother Robert "Buster" Pugh. He is survived by: his wife Jo Daniel Pugh; his daughter Joanna Freytag (Edward) of Murfreesboro; and his brothers, Ronnie Pugh (Glenda) of Murfreesboro, Don Pugh (Janice) of Murfreesboro and Jerry Pugh (Judy) of Manchester.
The family requests memorials be made in memory of John to the American Cancer Society.
