He was predeceased by: his parents, John Robert and Lillian Green Young; his sister Annie Ruth McQueen; and his brothers-in-law, Jerry McQueen and Kenneth Barrett.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie; his daughters, Tracey Abernathy (Mike) and Amy Stearns (David); his grandchildren, Robin Reardon (Kevin), Ryan, Kale Stearns and Jackson Gordon; his sister Frances Barrett; and his aunt Flora Lee Scantland.
