He was predeceased by: his wife Diane; his parents, Albert Lee Hoover and Lillie Lorene Herman Hoover; and his siblings, Bobby Hoover, Terry Hoover, Barbara Jean Pope and Linda Barlow.
He is survived by: his siblings, Carol Tidwell (Joe) of Murfreesboro, James Hoover of Woodbury, Charles Hoover of Murfreesboro and Gerry Hoover; and his stepchildren, George Brewer, Danny Brewer and Sonja Brewer. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A reception will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Gentry-Smith Funeral Home (303 Murfreesboro Rd, Woodbury, TN 37190).
