He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard J. Brunson and Doris J. Brunson; his brother Jack B. Brunson; and his son-in-law Clint Mathews. He is survived by: his wife Linda C. Brunson; his children, Joseph M. Brunson Jr. and Wendy M. Mathews; his grandchildren, Sidney H. Grinolds, Blakley M. Thibodeaux and Peyton M. Brunson; and his sisters, Mary C. Gray, Lynda M. Ballington and Patricia A. Neely. He is also survived by 2 great grandchildren, extended family, and countless friends.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery (7931 McCrory Ln, Nashville, TN 37221).
