She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul R. Diehl and Esther Helmuth Diehl; her husband James Sanders; and her brother Jack Diehl. She is survived by: her daughters, Desiree Netherland and Varity Stone (David); her grandchildren, Daniel Netherland (Linda), Cameron Stone (Spenser) and Ashton Stone (Holly Lapka); her sister Delana Yates; and her caregivers, Carolyn Harris and Christy Faulk. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
