He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Briggs and Mildred Hartman Briggs. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Briggs of Murfreesboro, TN; his sons, Anthony Briggs (Leigh) of Syracuse, NY, Ricky Briggs (Jerene) of Chattanooga, TN, Larry Jr. Briggs (Susan) of Mt. Juliet, TN, Terry Briggs of Brush Creek, TN and Mark Briggs (Katie) of Lebanon, TN.; and his siblings, Gary Briggs (Tina) of Tacoma, WA, Bill Briggs of Woodsfield, OH, Ann of Ohio and Patty of Florida. He is also survived by 17 Grandchildren; 12 Great Grandchildren.
