She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Melton and Guy Rogers Melton; her husband Francis Eugene Hipkins; and her siblings, Virginia Caldwell and Ernest "Bud" Melton.
She is survived by: her son Mark; her daughter-in-law Sheril Hipkins of Murfreesboro; her granddaughters, Carrie Hipkins and Emma Mills (Chris); her stepgrandchildren, Christopher Fults (Renee) and Maegan Anderson; and her niece Paula Szymanski (Michael) of Michigan. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
