She was predeceased by : her parents, Joseph C. Johnson Sr. and Thelma R. Johnson. She is survived by : her husband Martin E. Hartwell; her siblings, Judy C. Griffin (Peter Griffin) of Murfreesboro and Joseph C. Johnson Jr. (Karen Johnson) of Tullahoma; her daughters, Melissa A. H. Sippola (Corey B. Sippola) of Murfreesboro and Carrie L. Hartwell of Columbus; and her grandchildren, Katja K. Sippola (Mark E. Goode Jr.) of Murfreesboro and Sophia A. Sippola of Murfreesboro, Tennessee..

Visitation was held on Friday, March 22nd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jennings & Ayers Funeral Home (820 S Church St, Murfreesboro, TN 37130). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, May 5th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Peace Lutheran Church.
