With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret Grime Cook of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, who passed away on September 2, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Horace Eugene Cook; her son Horace Hall Cook; her parents, Reverend Joseph Hall and Alliene Bass Grime; her siblings, Sarah Grime Settle, Lois Grime Fitch, Rebecca Grime Jennings, Betty Ruth Grime Nokes and Dr. Harvey Hall Grime; and her son-in-law Steve Haley.
She is survived by: her daughters, Elaine Cook Haley of Springfield and Melanie Howell (Allen) of Murfreesboro; her grandchildren, Timothy Haley (Laura), Sarah Haley (Garrison Johnston), Dr. Kaitlen Howell (Nathan Lowhorn) of Oakland, CA, Tyler James (Taylor) of Mebane, NC, Maggie Clabough (Nathan) of Cleveland, TN and Amanda Cook; her great grandchildren, Arthur James Haley and Ryan Hall Clabough; Kim Bunch Cook of Morristown.
Family requests memorials be made to the Lafayette First Baptist Church, the Macon Arts Council or Macon County Retired Teachers.
