With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Alice Hirlston of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, who passed away on October 8, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, AJ Carl and Lillie Bell Goostree Mathias; her stepfather Jess Thornton; her husband Monroe "Bill" Hirlston; her siblings, JT, Carnell, Harvey, John Robert, Riley, James Donald, Viola Summers Hinton and Eva Nell Thacker; her children-in-law, Joyce, Janis, Betty, Judy, Melvina and Keith Pope; her grandsons, James Daniel "JD" and Brad Davenport; and her grandson-in-law Danny Harrison.
She is survived by: her children, Carl (Patsy), James, Sherry Davenport Craddock (Roy) and Dora Pope; her son-in-law Steve Davenport; her grandchildren, Carla Richards, Karen Harrison, Carl II (Kasey), Chris Johnston (Andrea), Kim Porter Warrick (John Sr.), Jimmy Jr., Jackie, Jerry, Craig Davenport (Jamie) and Brandon Pope (Courtney); her granddaughter-in-law Ashley Davenport O'Leary (Terry); and her caregiver Susan Carlton. She is also survived by twenty-five great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
