He is survived by: his brother Stevan Nelson; his children, Cathy Tautkus, Daniel Nelson and Teresa Carpenter; his grandchildren, David Carpenter, Michael Carpenter, Mitay Deardorff and Reeyo Nelson; and his great grandchildren, Luke Carpenter, Brady Lokken and Max Lokken.
