She was predeceased by: her father Wayne Williams. She is survived by: her husband Dr. Jim Carter; her mother Chris Williams; her siblings, Dewayne Williams, David Williams (Jeanne) and Linda Williams (Michelle Smith); her children, Sara Elrod (Daniel), Ty Carter (Amanda), Christy Carter and Caety Carter; and her grandchildren, Caety Anne, Taylor, John Alan, Mac, Millie, Olivia and Christy.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family is asking that donations be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
