She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Padgett and Valda May Padgett; her sisters, Dorothy Hudson, Emma Lou Tamm, Juanita DeCamara and Virginia Davis; and her granddaughter Melodie "Scooter" Young.

She is survived by: her children, Carl Brackett (Mary), Carrie Chapman and Stacey Gobble (Matt); and her granddaughters, Hope "Jabby" Grubb, Meg "Little Bit" Brackett, Grace "Buttons" Brackett, Abbey "Honey" Gobble and Anna "Sweet Pea" Gobble. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donating to your charity of choice, helping someone in need, enjoying good conversation with a friend while sipping coffee, or sitting on a front porch to admire the wonders of nature.
