He was predeceased by: his parents, Hardy Quitman Stampley and Eltre V. Walton Stampley; and his sister Peggy Kathleen "Kathy" Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Jo Douglas Stampley; his children, David Quitman Stampley (Alisa Teague Stampley) and Paula Stampley Leslie (Michael); and his grandchildren, Mary Lauren Mansfield Rethorn (Zachary), James Reed Mansfield (Sarah), Suzanna Katherine "Anna Kate" Mansfield Arrowood (Hardy "Trey"), Blake Quitman Stampley, Claire Mackenzie Stampley (Hannah Carlson) and Maddox Gray Stampley. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
