He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Puckett Peebles and Mattie Ruth Howeth Peebles; and his wife Lela Proctor Peebles. He is survived by: his children, Leanne Bates (Ward) of Murfreesboro, TN, Jennelle Peebles of Murfreesboro, TN and Chip Peebles (Laura) of Brentwood, TN; and his grandchildren, Parker Bates (Kaylee), Sadler Bates (Nicole), Carter Peebles, Cason Peebles and Lindsay Peebles.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pitt Hopkins Research Foundation at pitthopkins.org, in honor of his granddaughter Lindsay.
