He was predeceased by: his parents, Bascal Oran "B. O." Douglas and Emma Elizabeth Hagen. He is survived by: his wife Alice Sue Brand; his children, Forrest Richard Douglas, Mary Lynn, Allyson Douglas Heckel and Rick; and his grandchildren, Dr. Hunter Forrest Douglas (Libby), Alison "Allie" Douglas Heckel (Elle Hussey) and Samuel "Sam" Graham Douglas (Ali).
Mr. Douglas experienced health complications while recovering from COVID, and his end-of-life wishes to leave this world peacefully were respected until the end.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.
