He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Smith and Lorene Smith; his son Alex Smith; and his brother Stanley Smith. He is survived by: his children, Edith Smith, William Smith, Ashlie Smith, Steve Smith and Brittanie Smith; and his siblings, Tim Smith, Oscar Franklin Smith, Mill Smith and Kathy Smith-Alexander (Janet Banton). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren.
